The Fabric of Nature

Owls get creative with their artwork!
Owls have been studying different animals from tropical environments as part of their current art project. They have created some superb pieces of art using a variety of techniques. They began by choosing their favourite photograph of a forest-dwelling animal before creating their own view finders to draw different sections in detail with pencils. This stage developed into creating a master copy with tracing paper that could be transferred to fabric. They then used PVA glue to paint these designs. Today, they have been painting these designs and, once this paint is dry, they will wash the PVA off to reveal the final fabric design. There has been lots of fantastic artwork produced so far – some real talented artists in Owls!
