The girls from Owls and Penguins class represented themselves and the school really well when they attended the Active Together event that was held at the Tamworth Athletics Stadium on Monday afternoon. They had the opportunity to try out a variety of exciting sports events, including archery, cricket, hockey, kin-ball and even Quidditch! The weather was decidedly warm (although not as warm as it was to become) but the girls coped well with the heat. The organisers were very professional with the children and were sensible about the weather, with plenty of opportunities for drinks and breaks from the sun. The children had a really enjoyable time and it was great to see so many of them get stuck in to such a wide variety of sporting activities. All of the children were presented with a t-shirt and bag of goodies. We were even given a sneak preview of some of the songs for the Y6 leavers assembly when the girls at the back of the bus began singing one or two of the numbers! Well done everyone - you were brilliant!
