Our new pupils have been as good as gold, showing kindness, curiosity, and lots of smiles throughout the day. They've loved making new friends and exploring all the exciting areas of our classroom. A firm favourite has been the kitchen role-play area, where imaginations have been running wild with cooking, serving, celebrating birthdays and holding picnics. 

We’ve also had a creative buzz in the room as children made their very own dinosaurs and decorated first-day crowns to celebrate this special milestone. Our ‘flamazing’ book corner has been a cosy spot for reading and sharing stories, and we’ve already started learning new nursery rhymes and listening to some wonderful storytime tales.

A highlight of the day was a special visit from our Year 6 ‘Pals’ – role models from Penguins Class who will be helping our Reception children learn The Manor Way, make new friends, and feel part of our school family. Their kindness and support made a big impression and added to the excitement of the day.

We are so proud of how well everyone has done today. It’s been a joyful, busy, and heartwarming start to the year and we can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
