Owls Class River Models
Published 10/06/24Today, children in Owls Class learned about the features of a river and where on a river's course you are likely to find these features. The children worked in groups to create their own river models and labelled some of the key features. There is still some finishing up to do and some corrections to be made but a very good start to the rivers topic!

Swans Geography
Published 07/06/24This half term children will be asking the question ‘What is it like to live in Shanghai?’
To begin the unit we started discussing the different human and physical features we could see in our local area. We then began discussing how different places have different physical and human features. We introduced the city of Shanghai and then used the Atlas to located China and then the city of Shanghai. A wonderful introduction to our geography topic.

Published 03/05/24Look at these fantastic pavilions children in Owls created! Their design brief was to create an interesting pavilion structure that allowed for sheltered space, outdoor space and space for recreation. They used glue guns, and a range of materials to bring their designs to life - we definitely have some budding architects in class!

Swans head back to school!
Published 16/04/24Last week Swans class visited The Black Country Living Museum to support them with their 'Schools in the past' History topic. It was a brilliant, educational day out that all the children thoroughly enjoyed. The pupils went back through time to see what life was like across a range of eras and even participated in a school lesson from the early 1900's.
