Join the fun and come to school dressed as your favourite character from a book they know well. Keep it simple or get creative. It's up to you. If you're stuck for ideas and Google hasn't helped, do try asking the school staff.  They will be writing a book review about their book or a character description using evidence from the text to describe their book. Bonus points for the child who brings a copy of the book with their character in it. Teachers will be planning a range of activities based on their class text on that day.
