After-School SportsFest: A Celebration of Fun, Fitness, and Soaked Teachers!

Last Wednesday, our school field came alive with laughter, cheers, and a splash of water as children from all year groups took part in our much-anticipated ‘After-School Sportsfest!’
The event was a fantastic opportunity for children to get active, try new sports, and most importantly-have fun with friends and teachers alike.
The afternoon kicked off with relay races, where students showcased their speed and teamwork; dashing across the track with determination and big smiles. Over at the field events, children had a go at javelin throwing, testing their aim and strength with foam javelins flying through the air.
The football pitch was buzzing with energy as teams battled it out in friendly matches, while the archery station gave students a chance to channel their inner Robin Hood, aiming for bullseyes under the guidance of staff.
But the real crowd-pleasers? The cheeky and hilarious “Shoot the Teacher” and the ever-popular “Soak the Teacher” stations! Armed with Nerf guns and water-filled sponges, the children lined up eagerly for their chance to drench their brave (and very good-humoured) teachers. Let’s just say, by the end of the day, the staff were as soaked as they were smiling! A massive thank you to Mr Robson and Mr Forman.
The Sportsfest was more than just a fun event; it was a celebration of community, resilience, and the joy of movement. A huge thank you to all the staff, PTA, and children, who made the day such a success.
